Mr. Monroe is responsible for transaction execution, structuring, and monitoring activities for Tenex. His focus at Tenex is on evaluating and underwriting investments.
Mr. Monroe was previously an Associate at Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R), where he evaluated and executed investments in businesses across a wide range of industries. In addition, he was also responsible for monitoring and supporting the implementation of operational initiatives at the firm’s portfolio companies.
Prior to CD&R, Mr. Monroe worked in the Financial Sponsors and M&A investment banking groups at Morgan Stanley where he helped execute numerous debt financings, equity offerings, and strategic transactions for the firm’s private equity and corporate clients.
Mr. Monroe currently serves, or has previously served, on the boards of Techniks (Observer), JPW, SouthernCarlson, Brown Machine, Custom Molded Products, Auveco, Empire Auto Parts, and Big Bolt, among others.
Mr. Monroe holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania where he was a Palmer Scholar, and a BA in Economics from Washington & Lee University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.
